Marta and Adas camp is worse than Esperanzas camp because some of the peoplei n martas camp have tents and some just sleep in burlap bags stretched between poles. There were only 10 wooden toilet stalls for lots of people. In esperanzas camp there were cabins. What the author meant by "great jumble of humanity and confusion." is that there were lots of people and lots of confusion.
Marta's and Ada's camp is dirty, poor, and there was no shelter at all.People were living in trucks an on matresses.''It was a great jumble of humanity and confusion'' means it was a large crowded group of people being treated with no respect.
Marta and Ada's camp is a camp full of people who are living in the same conditions.Conditions as in,having a small portion of money, having no food to feed their famileis, and other. What the author means by that is,there is a giant group of people living in the same bad conditions is like a big family of different people.Different people who lost their jobs to striking and can't pay for food for their familes.
When Esperana states that marta's camp was a great jumble of humanity and confusion, she means that it was all unorganized and dirty. It didn't really make sence there were more than 100 people and 10 tolets. There were people living in their cars! Their living conditions are not good.
Marta and Ada's camp is not like a five star camp. They need protection sothe other camps don't come and theaet them. That camp has only ten bathrooms for more than one hundred people. Some people live in tents and some other people only had burlap sacks stretched between poles. There were many clothes lines in Marta's camp. Mattresses were on the groud so people and animals can sleep. Some people lived in there cars or trucks. A goat was tied to a tree for milk or something. I think Pam said that to tell what it looked like.
marta's camp is disgusting like some motel six hotels. In Sacramento, under the highway there at least 50 homeless people living in cardboard boxes and just sleeping bags.
Good answer, I will use this for my homework.
