Where do the Candidates Stand?

The election is tomorrow. Take a look at this link and read about how the different candidates stand on some of the important issues.

Your task:
  • First, look at each of the issues and write a 1 sentence summary of what each candidate thinks. Write your responses on a separate piece of paper.
  • Next, pick 3 issues you feel the most strongly about. Blog about each of these 3 issues and which candidate you are siding with.
  • Last, write a sentence stating who you are voting for and why.

1.One issue I personally feel strong about is the War in Iraq because McCain supported last year's increase of troops in Iraq and backed with Bush in the veto to pull out the troops. Obama voted for a war spending bill that would have pulled out most troops from Iraq in March 2008. I am siding with Obama because he explained it very good and has very good reasons.

2.Another issue I feel very strong about is healthcare because Obama said he wants to have universal healthcare that will cover uninsured individuals but it will raise taxes. McCain wants to offer tax credits to help Americans pay for health insurance. I am siding with McCain because i think he had a good idea there.
